Pleasanton, California. We are so sad to announce the passing of Louis (Lou) Russo, who passed away peacefully on January 16, 2022, at the age of 88. When the family moved from New Jersey to California, John planted his roots firmly in the East Bay, first in San Ramon and later in Pleasanton. There wasn't a sport he couldn't quickly master (or beat his older sister at), from the usual team sports, to water/snow skiing, golf, track & field, and everything in-between. They are being well cared for by Lukes family. He loved to talk with people. He later married his wife Denise of 40 years and helped to raise her sons, Larry, Michael and Loic. Former students would stop her in the street in their adult years to say hi. In her retirement she enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino, trips to Capitola with Rick, seeing Broadway musicals, and lunch dates with her friends Rene Umverto Martin Cathy devoted her time and attention to her family.
